What is Snack Attack 2024?
Snack Attack 2024 is a competition hosted by Rondo. Cyclists compete as teams to earn the most points. The winning teams get to choose which AIDS Lifecycle teams receive donations.
How does the prize pot work?
Each cyclist pays an entry fee to participate in Snack Attack 2024. As part of that entry fee, the prize pot grows. The top 4 winning teams get to choose which AIDS Lifecycle teams receives portions of the prize pot.
Team Rank | Fraction of Prize Pot |
---|---|
1 | 40% |
2 | 30% |
3 | 20% |
4 | 10% |
For example, if the prize pot were $1500, the team in first place would win $600 in donations to their team (40% of the pot).
How do I join a team?
When you register for Snack Attack 2024, you will be asked to join a team, or create your own. There is no cost to creating a team.
How do you get points for your team?
There are two ways to win points for your team.
- Be fast and get the fastest times on segments in the competition.
- Be consistent and visit the destinations in the competition the most.
Whether you're fast or consistent, the rankings get you equivalent points.
Segment or Destination Rank | Team Points Awarded |
---|---|
1 | 8 |
2 | 6 |
3 | 4 |
4 | 3 |
5 | 2 |
6+ | 1 |
Ties split the points earned by each position. So if you were tied for first with one other person, you would each get 7 points (8 + 6, divided by 2).
No matter what, attempting a segment or a destination will always get you a point, so it's always worth trying!
I use Strava to record my rides, how can I upload my rides to Rondo?
While we would love to integrate with Strava, we are not able to due to Strava's API terms of use. To get your rides on Strava as well as Rondo, we recommend signing up with Ride with GPS, which has integrations for both services.
Bike computers from Wahoo and Garmin are natively supported and can be connected to Rondo directly, which allows you to record rides to both Strava and Rondo simultaneously.
We know this is not an ideal experience if you are unable to use either of these options. We are working on providing a better way to record your rides. Thank you for your patience while we iron out the kinks!
How can I file a support request?
If you have a question that is not answered here, you can file a support request.
I connected Rondo to my bike computer but my ride didn't upload automatically. Can I manually upload it?
Yes, you can manually upload your ride to Rondo. To do so, go to the app you use to manage your rides and "share" the .fit file with the Rondo app.
Wahoo ELEMNT
To share a ride from the Wahoo ELEMNT app, go to the ride you want to share, click the "share" button, and select the Rondo app.
If I find a bug, or have a feature idea, what do I do?
If you find something isn't working quite right or could be working better, please file a support request and we will get on it as soon as possible.
Let's say my team is one of the winning teams. Who actually chooses which ALC participant will receive the donation?
The team captain(s) of the winning team will be contacted by Rondo to choose which ALC participant will receive the donation.
What if I don't want to compete but do want to donate more to AIDS/Lifecycle?
If you would like to donate more to AIDS/Lifecycle, you can do so directly through their website and contribute directly to a team.
